No one can do it like mom can.

My goodness, it has been a very long time since I've blogged! Recovery from surgery is going just fine. I'm able to walk short distances now, and my last check up showed that my bone is healing well.

One of the most distressing side effects of being non-ambulatory is that I am no longer in control of running the house. Sure, I can put away a load of dishes now and then, but by the time that is finished, I am more than ready to sit down and rest my aching leg.

I am unendingly grateful to my dear husband for taking care of all of my chores for me without even the smallest complaint. However, that said, he does do things a great deal differently than I would. His standards for cleanliness are a good bit different from mine. It has been difficult to sit on the couch or in bed and not be able to do anything to rid our home of the small messes that surround me. Le sigh. All I have to do is bite my tongue and continue to be patient with my healing body. But I have to admit that I can not wait until I am well enough to tend to the housework again!
